About the Competition:
Dates: September 7th and 8th
Location: Along the Canal in Centennial and Murphy Parks, Smiths Falls
Description: Artists from the region captured the beauty of the Rideau Canal and surrounding areas through en plein air, a traditional outdoor painting technique. This event, set closer to downtown Smiths Falls, offered breathtaking new views and challenged artists of all mediums to complete their work over the weekend.
Awards:
Intermediate Prize Category (18+): $1000 and the title of Rideau Artist of the Year
Youth Prize Category (Under 18): $200 and a $50 gift certificate to The Craft Witch

The selected artworks will be showcased starting September 15th at Artisan Village, where you can admire the fresh perspectives crafted by our artists. Light refreshments will be provided during the showcase opening.
